With the continued development of the healthcare sector in East Africa, the volume of medical waste is increasing, creating a significant gap in safe and harmless disposal. As the economic hub of East Africa, Kenya urgently needs reliable medical waste treatment equipment suitable for small and medium-sized medical institutions. After conducting extensive research and comparisons, Kenya’s local environmental service provider, Solutions East Africa Limited, selected Zhite Environmental Protection’s microwave disinfection and treatment equipment.

Overview of Project Cooperation

This contract involves the export of six sets of ZT‑MWT‑50 small-scale medical waste microwave treatment equipment, under CIF terms to Mombasa Port. The services include full-scale support covering equipment manufacturing, factory inspection, overseas installation guidance, and technical training for operators.

Core Advantages of the Equipment

The ZT‑MWT‑50 is Zhite Environmental Protection’s flagship model, independently developed by the company. It integrates crushing, microwave disinfection, and exhaust gas treatment into one compact unit; achieving a sterilization rate of ≥99.99%, processing 50 kg per batch, with a daily capacity of up to 500 kg. Featuring a fully enclosed process, it ensures that treated exhaust gases meet emission standards, effectively preventing secondary pollution. The equipment is easy to operate, has low maintenance costs, and is well-suited for use in small and medium-sized hospitals and clinics across Africa.

Project Implementation Outcomes

Within 60 working days after receiving the customer’s deposit, all equipment was manufactured and shipped. The equipment’s sterilization performance meets or exceeds 99.99%, satisfying local medical institutions’ standards for medical waste disposal. A complete operating manual was delivered simultaneously, along with remote technical training sessions.

This order represents an important step in Zhite Environmental Protection’s internationalization strategy. With the equipment now in place, Kenya’s capacity for safe and harmless medical waste disposal will be significantly enhanced, safeguarding regional public health security, while also serving as a benchmark case for Zhite Environmental Protection as it further expands into the broader African market.
